Düsseldorf, den 24. Juli 2024 - Die Rheinmetall AG steigerte Umsatz und operatives Ergebnis im zweiten Quartal des laufenden Geschäftsjahres erheblich und konnte damit die aktuellen Markterwartungen des Kapitalmarktes deutlich übertreffen.

Auf Basis der vorläufigen Zahlen zum 24. Juli 2024 wird für das zweite Quartal im Vergleich zu dem Vorjahresquartal eine deutliche Steigerung des Umsatzes von rund 49% auf 2.234 MioEUR sowie des operativen Ergebnisses i.H.v. rund 111% auf 271 MioEUR erwartet. Damit liegen beide Kennzahlen deutlich über den Markterwartungen von
2.064,1 MioEUR für den Umsatz und 226,2 MioEUR für das operative Ergebnis. Auf Basis der vorläufigen Zahlen steigt die operative Ergebnismarge auf 12,1% im Vergleich zur Markterwartung von 11,0%.

Die positive Entwicklung der Finanzkennzahlen ist im Wesentlichen auf vorgezogene Umsatzlegung im Bereich Waffe und Munition sowie den anteilig höheren Umsatzbeitrag der Rheinmetall Expal Munitions in den ersten sechs Monaten zurückzuführen.

Der starke Auftragseingang im zweiten Quartal hat die Rheinmetall Nominations auf 11,4 MrdEUR ansteigen lassen. Wesentlich waren hierfür die Bestellungen des deutschen Kunden aufgrund der Umsetzung der Beschaffungsprojekte aus dem Sondervermögen der Bundeswehr.

Vor diesem Hintergrund und der erwarteten Geschäftsentwicklung in der zweiten Jahreshälfte bestätigt der Vorstand mindestens die Umsatz- und Ergebnisprognose für das Gesamtjahr 2024 mit einem Konzernumsatz von rund 10 MrdEUR und einer operativen Ergebnismarge zwischen 14-15% (jeweils inklusive Akquisitionen).
