EcowaterOS consortium launch in China with introduction of COVID19 Microtox PD[i]
Modern Water to present at China Environmental Early Warning Monitoring Conference
DeepVerge (LSE:DVRG.L), the environmental and life science AI company, announces that Huancheng Wang, senior applications engineer, Modern Water Shanghai, China, will introduce the Ecological Water Operating System ("ecowaterOS") consortium and highlight the wastewater detection system, Microtox® PD, at a webinar presentation of innovative water quality monitoring solutions hosted by the Instrument Information Network, China [ii] on March 17 and 18, 2021.
The webinar, to be delivered in Mandarin, focuses on environmental early warning and emergency response. In the last two years, Modern Water has successfully launched two portable analysers, the Microtox® FX[iii], which was awarded innovation product of the year in 2019 and Microtrace PDV[iv] both of which can detect a broad range of water contaminants as well as the presence of specific heavy metals during emergencies. This is on the back of multiple installations of larger Microtox® CTM[v] and OVA[vi] units in 5 of the 23 Provinces across China, since 2013.

It is a fully automatic instrument that offers a 4-week, autonomous operating cycle and requires a low level of skill for both operation and maintenance.
[vi] Microtrace OVA is a fully automated on-line monitor, developed as a modular system, to provide continuous or intermittent monitoring of metals in process streams, effluent discharges, river and potable water. Sampling can be programmed to be taken at specified times, on demand or when triggered by an external event. Integration of the OVA in a plant control system allows users full control over the content of their process streams, ensuring regulatory compliance for any discharges.
