Purchase of own shares

SThree plc announces that on 16 October 2008, it purchased for cancellation, 80,345 ordinary shares of 1p each at an average price of 162.3027 pence per share.

The highest price paid was 169.50 pence per share and the lowest price paid was 153.50 pence per share.

For confirmation the Company's issued capital is now 123,403,131 ordinary shares of 1p each.
