SThree plc announces that on 8 October 2008, it purchased for cancellation, 27,360 ordinary shares of 1p each at an average price of 164.9105 pence per share.

The highest price paid was 169.00 pence per share and the lowest price paid was 157.625 pence per share.

For confirmation the Company's issued capital is now 123,723,567 ordinary shares of 1p each.
