Purchase of own shares

SThree plc announces that on 3 October 2008, it purchased for cancellation, 36,343 ordinary shares of 1p each at an average price of 183.2915 pence per share.

The highest price paid was 186.5 pence per share and the lowest price paid was 182 pence per share.

For confirmation the Company's issued capital is now 123,851,004 ordinary shares of 1p each.
