                                 AGM STATEMENT

At Eleco plc's Annual General Meeting, which is to be held today (29 November
2006) at The London Capital Club, Abchurch Lane, London EC4N 7BW at 12:00 noon,
Executive Chairman John Ketteley will make the following statement:

"In my Chairman's Statement, I said that the Group has again made a good start
to the year, with the performance for the first quarter ahead of the same period
last year.

We continue to trade well and I remain confident about the ongoing prospects for
the Group".
