                   Notification of a Major Interest in Shares


On 14th September 2006,Volex Group plc (the Company) received a notification
from Artemis Intertrade Inc. pursuant to Part VI of the Companies Act 1985,
confirming that it had a beneficial interest of 3,594,067 ordinary 25p shares,
which represents 6.5% of the Company's issued share capital.  The shares were
acquired over the last fourteen months in the following volumes;

1,694,067 ordinary shares on 21 July 2005

670,000 ordinary shares on 5 September 2005

730,000 ordinary shares 23 September 2005

500,000 ordinary shares on 9 May 2006
