The Board of Sportech Plc ("Sportech" or "the Company") announces that Gary
Speakman, Chief Operating Officer, has resigned his position as executive
director to pursue alternative business interests.  Gary will relinquish his
executive and operational responsibilities with immediate effect and following a
period of leave will formally end his employment with Sportech on 29 September
2006.

The Board of Sportech extends its thanks and appreciation to Gary for all of his
work during his long tenure at the Company, during which he has added
significantly to the development of the business.
