                        Appointment of Finance Director

Sportech PLC is pleased to announce the appointment of Steven Cunliffe as
Finance Director and Company Secretary. Steven will take up the position in July
2006.

Steven, 37, a Chartered Accountant, has held a number of positions across the
leisure and manufacturing sectors. He will join Sportech from his present
position as Finance Executive of Hemway Limited. Prior to this he was Finance
Director of Herald Inns and Bars Limited, a 40-unit managed pub and late night
bar operator. Between 2002 and 2004 Steve was Group Finance Director for CWV
Group Limited a textile group and before this he was Financial Controller for
the Manchester division of Barratt Homes Limited. Steve started his career at
Coopers & Lybrand.

Ian Penrose, Chief Executive of Sportech, commented:

believe he will be a valuable addition to the team.

"Since joining the Company I have made a number of changes to the structure of
the Board and Management team to enable the Group to capitalise on the
