                                  Board Change

The Board of Volex announced today that Don Payzant, President of Volex North
America, has left the Group by mutual consent and has resigned from the board of
Volex Group plc with immediate effect.

Heejae Chae, COO of the Group worldwide, will assume day-to-day responsibility
for the North American operations, in addition to his worldwide role.

These changes will facilitate the accelerated consolidation of all Volex Group
Infocom activities into a single, market-focused, global line of business.

John Corcoran, Group Chief Executive Officer of Volex Group said:

"This marks the ending of a 13 year association between Don and the Group and I
would like to thank Don for his contribution and dedication to Volex during that
time and to wish him well for the future".
