At the Volex Group Annual General Meeting held today, all ordinary and special
resolutions were carried.

The Company will now seek confirmation of the cancellation of its share premium
account from the High Court and expects the cancellation to become effective
during the week commencing 17th October 2005.

Details of the proxy votes received in respect of each of the Resolutions put to
the Annual General Meeting will be posted on the Company's web site (www.volex.com)
shortly.

As indicated in the Corporate Governance Report section of the 2005 Annual
Report & Accounts, Mr. John Roberts retired from the Board at the conclusion of
the Annual General Meeting having served his second period of 3 years. His role
as the Senior Independent Director has been taken over by Mr. David Beever with
immediate effect.
