Issue of Scrip Dividend Shares

Elektron announces that, in aggregate, 113,769 ordinary shares will be issued to those holders in the Company who have elected to receive new shares in lieu of cash in respect of the final dividend for the year ended 31 January 2011.

The resolution to declare the final dividend of 0.55p per ordinary share was passed at the Company's Annual General Meeting held on 28 July 2011.  113,769 ordinary shares will be issued increasing the total number of ordinary shares in the Company with voting rights to 106,522,028.  Application has been made for the new shares to be admitted to trading on the AIM Market of the London Stock Exchange and the new shares are expected to be admitted to trading on 16 August 2011.
