Appointment of Chief Financial Officer

Elektron plc (AIM: EKT), announces the appointment to the Board of Noah Franklin as Chief Financial Officer, with immediate effect. Geoff Spink has now stepped down from the Board as planned.

Noah Felix Kalman Franklin (aged 52) is a Chartered Accountant and comes with strong experience in both senior financial roles and within publically quoted companies. His previous appointments include 12 years as a senior executive with Cadbury Schweppes plc, where his roles included Finance Director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa and Group Financial Controller, as well as Managing Director of Global Business Services and a country Managing Director position. 

Other positions have included Chief Financial Officer for a venture developing large scale arable farming in South America as well as finance roles at Whitbread plc.

After graduation from Oxford University, Noah spent 11 years with Arthur Andersen in London and Paris, where he qualified as both a Chartered Accountant and an Expert Comptable, the French professional accounting qualification.

Noah brings not only financial experience gained in substantial multinational companies but also expertise in reconfiguring business support functions for efficiency and high performance."
