Notifications of Interest

Elektron plc ("Elektron" or the "Company") was notified on 5 August 2010 by Paul E Schweder Miller & Co that, following a placing and allotment of ordinary shares in the Company as announced on 5 August 2010 and an acquisition of 1,800,000 ordinary shares in the Company on 5 August 2010, Schweco Nominees Ltd has increased its holding to 8,823,078 ordinary shares.  This holding represents approximately 8.34% of the total voting rights in the Company.

Elektron was notified that, following the disposal of 2,300,000 ordinary shares in the Company on 5 August 2010, Panther Securities PLC has reduced its holding to 13,643,970 ordinary shares.  This holding represents approximately 12.90% of the total voting rights in the Company.
