Elektron plc (the "Company") was notified on 29 July 2010 that, following an acquisition of 1,200,000 ordinary shares in the Company on 29 July 2010, Schweco Nominees Ltd has increased its holding to 5,641,078 ordinary shares.  This holding represents approximately 6.4% of the total voting rights in the Company.
