Update: Horse Hill Judicial Review
UK Oil & Gas PLC (London AIM: UKOG) notes the conclusion of the November 17-18th judicial review hearing of Surrey County Council's ("SCC") September 2019 decision to grant long-term production planning consent at the Company's 85.635% owned Horse Hill oil field.
As is usual in such cases, the judge, the Hon. Mr Justice Holgate, has reserved judgement until such time as he has fully considered all the relevant evidence and argument made by SCC, the Company, the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government ("MHCLG") and the claimant, Sarah Finch (acting on behalf of the Weald Action Group). The judge gave no date or timescale for the issue of the judgement.
The Company will update the market upon receipt of the final judgement. The case remains sub-judice until this time.
Stephen Sanderson UKOG's Chief Executive commented:
"We remain confident that the case put forward by SCC, the Company and MHCLG demonstrates the claimant's case has no merit in law and that the court will uphold SCC's decision."
