Pre-close trading update for the year ended 30 June 2009

Eleco plc (AIM ELCO), the specialist provider of building systems, infrastructure products and software systems, will announce its Preliminary Results for the year ended 30 June 2009 on Friday 9 October 2009 and intends to convene its AGM on 12 November 2009. 

The Company provided an update on trading conditions on 3 June 2009 and confirms that operating performance is expected to be reported in line with the Directors' expectations as set out in that update. It is also anticipated that some impairment charges against goodwill and other intangible assets will also be reported.

Net cash balances at £1.4m at 30 June 2009 improved from the position at 31 December 2008.
