LBS Pro GPS Antenna Used in New Unity XG-100 Multiband Public Safety Radio from Harris Corporation
Sarantel Group PLC, (AIM: SLG, 'Sarantel'), a leading manufacturer of high performance, miniature filtering antennas for mobile and wireless devices, announces that Harris Corporation ("Harris"), a leading global supplier of secure radio communication systems for military, government and commercial organizations, has selected Sarantel's LBS Pro miniature GPS antenna for the new Unity XG-100 portable multiband public safety radio.
The Unity XG-100 is part of a complete family of Harris radio terminals designed to provide reliable and secure public safety communications for the emergency services. The new device covers four land mobile radio frequency bands in a single unit. It is compliant with the APCO Project 25, a suite of standards for digital radio communications for use by federal, state, and local public safety agencies in the United States. The radio includes significant advances in public safety communications, such as embedded secure Bluetooth® technology and internal GPS.
Harris is a leading supplier of advanced IP voice and data networks and other assured communications systems and equipment for public safety, utility and transportation markets.
