Annual General Meeting 2009: Statement

The Annual General Meeting for Arden (AIM: ARDN), the institutional stockbroker, takes place today at 11.00am. 

Chairman Sir David Rowe-Ham will deliver the following statement to shareholders-: 

"Trading since we reported our year end result has, as we expected, continued to be difficult. We see current market conditions as representing an opportunity for a relationship based broker and since the year end we have grown our corporate client list by 30% and continue to target new gains.  Commission levels are down on last year, however there are a number of potential corporate transactions in progress which may come to fruition.

We remain confident in the potential for the Arden model to be both defensive in bear markets and to grow strongly on a market recovery."
