Purchase of own shares

SThree plc announces that on 17 October 2008, it purchased for cancellation, 31,438 ordinary shares of 1p each at an average price of 152.6717 pence per share.

The highest price paid was 157.00 pence per share and the lowest price paid was 147.625 pence per share.

For confirmation the Company's issued capital is now 123,371,693 ordinary shares of 1p each.
