                            Purchase of own shares



SThree plc announces that on 7 May 2008, it purchased for cancellation, 200,000
ordinary shares of 1p each at an average price of 177.9727 pence per share.

The highest price paid was 178.25 pence per share and the lowest price paid was
175.75 pence per share.

For confirmation the Company's issued capital is now 131,659,863 ordinary shares
of 1p each.
