                             Purchase of own shares


SThree plc announces that on 11 April 2008, it purchased for cancellation,
260,470 ordinary shares of 1p each at an average price of 181.9112pence per
share.

The highest price paid was 182 pence per share and the lowest price paid was
181.8559pence per share.

For confirmation the Company's issued capital is now 133,691,163 ordinary shares
of 1p each.
