                             Purchase of own shares


SThree plc announces that on 2 January 2008, it purchased for cancellation,
100,000 ordinary shares of 1p each at an average price of 218.9512 pence per
share.

The highest price paid was 219.00 pence per share and the lowest price paid was
217.25 pence per share.

For confirmation the Company's issued capital is now 136,588,097 ordinary
shares of 1p each.
