Frankfurt am Main, 27.04.2015 - FinLab AG (ISIN: DE0001218063) today publishes its figures for FY 2014.

FinLab generated a net profit for 2014 in the financial statements prepared pursuant to HGB [German Commercial Code] of EUR 9.5 million (prior year EUR -1.8 million). This very good result was due both to the positive performance of the portfolio (particularly the sustained recovery in value of the investment in Heliad Equity Partners GmbH & Co. KGaA) and the successful exits, and also to the decrease in personnel costs and other operating expenses. The positive result for the year resulted in an increase in the equity ratio to 90% (prior year 76%). There were also increases in revenues to EUR 2.7 million (prior year EUR 1.4 million) and other operating income to EUR 10.3 million (prior year EUR 3.5 million).

In this annual report, FinLab AG records not only the completion of a prosperous financial year but also the successful conclusion of the restructuring phase initiated at the end of financial year 2012. With the start of the new financial year, the company's specific focus, in addition to its continued core investments, is on Financial Services Technologies ("fintech") investment business. Focus will be on developing German and international fintech start-ups and providing venture capital for their financing requirements, with the aim in all cases of having a long-term equity interest and providing support for the investments.

Financial year 2015 has begun very well for FinLab AG and management expects that the company will be able to generate another positive result this year.
