Dodge & Cox, San Francisco, USA informed us pursuant to section 21 para.1
of the WpHG, that on March 11, 2013 the voting interest held by the Dodge &
Cox International Stock Fund, San Francisco, USA in LANXESS AG, Chemiepark
Leverkusen, Gebäude K10, 51369 Leverkusen, Germany fell below the threshold
of 5%. As of that date, Dodge & Cox International Stock Fund controls
3,741,980 shares in LANXESS AG, which represents 4.50%.

Dodge & Cox, San Francisco, USA also informed us pursuant to section 21
para.1 of the WpHG that on March 11, 2013, the voting interest held by
Dodge & Cox in LANXESS AG, Chemiepark Leverkusen, Gebäude K10, 51369
Leverkusen, Germany fell below the threshold of 5%. As of that date, Dodge
& Cox controls 3,743,880 shares in LANXESS AG, which represent 4.50% of the
shares outstanding. All voting rights are attributed to Dodge & Cox in
accordance with section 22 para.1 sent 1. no 6 of the German Securities
Trading Act ('WpHG'). Thereof, 4.50% (3,741,980 voting rights) are
attributed to Dodge & Cox from the Dodge & Cox International Stock fund.
The 1,900 share difference between Dodge & Cox and the Dodge & Cox
International Stock Fund is held by Dodge & Cox Worldwide Funds -
International Stock Fund.
