At 48, Daniel Wüest can look back on a career in investment and corporate banking at USB spanning more than 20 years during which he gained extensive expertise in a wide range of areas including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), equity and outside capital financing, as well as several other sectors locally and internationally. He launched his career in Zurich in 1998 where he supported the initial public offering of a major Russian steel and coal corporation on the NYSE from 2003 to 2004. From 2009, he worked as a managing director within the investment banking unit and headed from 2014 the mid-market advisory Switzerland department. The Swiss national holds a Master of Arts in Business Administration with specialization in Finance and Banking from the University of Zurich.
Under the leadership of Daniel Wüest, UBS already served as consultant and implementing bank for capital increases of Arbonia, most recently in 2016, as well as a M&A consultant for the acquisition of the Looser Group, also in 2016. Thus, Daniel Wüest already co-operated with part of today's Arbonia management team and was able to become acquainted with the company in great detail.
Arbonia's Board of Directors is certain it has found in Daniel Wüest an experienced financial expert with an excellent performance record.
Felix Bodmer informed the Board of Directors and Group Management that he was stepping down from his position as CFO of the Arbonia Group after more than 15 years. With his extensive expert knowledge, experience, goal-oriented attitude and his well-thought-out actions he contributed significantly to allowing the company to continue developing further even in difficult situations. He will remain available to the Group for special projects, including the restructuring of the prevention foundation. The Board of Directors and Group Management thank Felix Bodmer for his great dedication during his time as CFO of Arbonia.
