AD HOC ANNOUNCEMENT PURSUANT TO SECTION 15 WPHG

                       LPKF: Bernd Hackmann resigns as CEO

Garbsen, 14th October 2008 - LPKF Laser & Electronics  AG  and  Bernd  Hackmann,
CEO, announce that Bernd Hackmann will leave the company of his own volition  at
the end of the year 2008. Mr Hackmann resigns at the  best  of  terms  with  the
Supervisory Board for personal reasons. His  duties  and  responsibilities  will
then provisionally be taken over by Bernd Lange, COO. Bernd Hackmann intends  to
take up new challenges after a creative break.

LPKF thanks Bernd Hackmann for his outstanding  contribution  to  the  company's
development during the last 25 years and wishes  him  a  successful  and  joyful
future in his career as well as in his personal life.
