The Company's Investment Adviser, Starwood Capital Europe Advisers, LLP, has announced that Peter Denton will be leaving the firm at the end of December 2016 to join a property related not-for-profit organisation in the New Year as chief financial officer.

Peter was a member of the investment committee that is responsible for the recommendation of loan investments to the Investment Manager for investment by the Company (the 'Investment Committee'). Duncan MacPherson, a fellow Investment Committee member, will assume all of Peter's Investment Adviser responsibilities whilst retaining existing and primary responsibility for loan origination.

The Directors wish to thank Peter for his contribution to the success of the Company since its IPO in December 2012.

Chairman, Steve Smith, commented 'We wish Peter well in his new role. Alternative real estate lending is now an established and permanent part of the market with strong short to long term prospects. The Board believes that with the highly rated and successful team at Starwood Capital, the prospects for the Company are extremely bright.'

The Investment Committee of the Investment Adviser comprises Barry S. Sternlicht, Dennis Schuh, Jeffery DiModica, Jeffrey G. Dishner, Duncan MacPherson and Andrew J. Sossen.
