Board appointments

 

 

Arden Partners plc (AIM: ARDN), the institutional stockbroking company, is today pleased to announce the following appointments to the Company's Board:

 

Chairman

Mark Ansell has been appointed Chairman of the Board with immediate effect. Mark has been an independent Non-executive Director of the Company since December 2010 and assumed the role of interim Chairman on 24 May 2018.

 

Group Finance Director

Steve Douglas has been appointed Group Finance Director, such appointment to take effect immediately upon relevant regulatory approval being received.

 

Steve joined the Corporate Finance team at Arden in 2004 and became Head of Corporate Finance in 2014. Steve has been part of the senior management team which has led the significant investments made across every department as the Company has been restructured over the last 18 months.

 

Steve is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales, having qualified with Deloitte & Touche in 1998 and is a Chartered member of the Securities Institute.

 

Independent Non-executive Director

Alistair Currie has been appointed as an independent Non-executive Director, such appointment to take effect immediately upon relevant regulatory approval being received. It is intended that Alistair Currie will become a member of the audit, remuneration and nomination committees of the Board.

 

Alistair has been a fund manager specialising in UK Smaller Companies for almost 30 years. He was formerly a director of Edinburgh Fund Managers plc and was the Head of UK Smaller Companies for that group for a number of years. He joined Castlefield Investment Partners LLP in 2007, was a partner between September 2009 and August 2018, and has managed the Castlefield B.E.S.T Sustainable UK Smaller Companies Fund since April 2007. Alistair qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG in 1988.
