                     Appointment of Non Executive Director


Sportech PLC (the "Company"), the UK's leading football gaming business, is
pleased to announce the appointment of Jon Holmes as a Non-Executive Director of
the Board, with immediate effect.

Jon Holmes has worked in the sports industry for more than twenty five years as
a successful client manager and FA Licensed Players' Agent.  He founded SFX
Europe in 1998 and was Chairman and CEO of SFX Sports Group until 2006, managing
the careers of leading sports industry figures including Gary Lineker, Nasser
Hussain and Gabby Logan.

Jon began his career in sports management when he founded Park Associates in
1981.  SFX was founded in 1998 following the sale of Park Associates to The
Marquee Group, with Jon being appointed Managing Director of SFX.  In 2001, Jon
led a consortium to buy Leicester City F.C. out of administration, and was
Chairman when the team gained promotion to the Premier League that year, before
resigning to devote his attention back to SFX.  In late 2006 the Wasserman Media
Group acquired SFX, at which point Jon left to form his own company Jon Holmes
Media, retaining all his sports broadcast and media clients.

The Company confirms that it is not aware of any further details to be disclosed
in respect of Mr Holmes pursuant to paragraph 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules.
