The spheres of ownership of Dr. Rolf Haferkamp, CEO, include all operative business areas of United Energy Group (UEG), and control of the company’s strategic reorientation. Previous career stops of Dr. Haferkamp, a native of Lower Saxony, include executive positions in the international steel, recycling, and waste management industries as well as in the real estate business.
Curriculum Vitae
Having completed his training as certified banker with Norddeutsche Landesbank Hannover, Dr. Haferkamp studied economics at the University of Hanover from 1984 through 1990, finishing with the degree of “Graduated Economist” in 1990. In addition, Dr. Haferkamp studied mechanical engineering at the Universities of Applied Sciences in Hanover and the University of Technology in Clausthal, and obtained a doctorate at Clausthal, graduating with a Doctor of Engineering Science in 1993.
Following his graduation, Dr. Rolf Haferkamp took a position as executive assistant with Ruhrkohle AG in early 1994, and served in a variety of staff and senior positions with the group through 1996. Between 1996 and 1998, Dr. Haferkamp worked as senior management consultant for CSC PLOENZKE AG, a globally leading IT consulting company and service provider.
Between 1998 and 2006, Dr. Haferkamp was successively appointed to the boards of B.U.S AG, NORDAG AG, and Cleanaway Deutschland AG. With Cleanaway AG, he was in charge of the entire Continental Europe division, among other roles. In 2006, Dr. Haferkamp became chairman of the board of the BauBeCon housing company. During this time Dr. Haferkamp was responsible in particular for the strategic reorientation of the company, before moving on to UEG in early 2009 to take the position of Chief Executive Officer.
Udo Witte
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Udo Witte holds the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of United Energy Group (UEG). In this role, he is in charge of the company’s entire business administration. Previous career stops of Udo Witte, a trained business engineer, include positions as managing director of several internationally active companies.
Curriculum Vitae
Udo Witte enrolled as economics major at the University of Wuppertal in 1985, and graduated with a Bachelor in Economic Science in 1990. Afterwards, he studied commercial engineering at the University of Paderborn, and graduated with a Bachelor in Business Engineering. Udo Witte began his professional career in 1995 as subject specialist with Ruhrkohle AG. Working for this globally active energy group, he advanced into the position of a head of department in the areas IT, sales and project management as early as 1996. Between mid-2000 and through the end of 2002, Udo Witte worked for NORDAG AG, in the positions of Chief Information Officer (CIO) and central division head for the accounting, human resources and purchasing departments.
Between 2003 and 2006, Udo Witte served in the role of a commercial manager for the Cleanaway Deutschland AG waste management company. During this time, his sphere of ownership as Chief Information Officer included the cross-European group strategy and its implementation. From early 2007 through the end of 2008, Udo Witte also served as Managing Director of BauBeCon Corporate Services GmbH, BauBeCon Treuhand GmbH, and BauBeCon Asset GmbH, before he transferred to UEG in early 2009.
Thomas Diekötter (46)
Chief Operations Officer (COO)
As Chief Operations Officer (COO), Thomas Diekötter’s sphere of ownership includes the entire operative business of United Energy Group (UEG). A native of eastern Westphalia, Thomas Diekötter gathered extensive experience in developing, redeveloping, and restructuring business areas. His comprehensive know-how and wealth of experience in corporate management and in the development of new business areas as well as in their operative implementation constitute key drivers for the success of upcoming tasks and targets of UEG.

Following his graduation in mechanical engineering, Thomas Diekötter successfully completed a graduate programme in engineering at the University of Applied Sciences in Bielefeld in 1989.
His first job with Möller-Werke in Bielefeld included positions as application engineer and development engineer, before he transferred to Altvater-Gruppe to serve in a variety of functions, his final position being Divisional Head of Sales, City Cleaning West. In 2000, he took a position as managing director with Cleanaway, where he was initially responsible for the city of Bremerhaven and as of 2002 for the entire region of Northwest Germany. In 2004, Thomas Diekötter became Divisional Head for the entire business area Commercial & Industries of Cleanaway Management.
In 2007, following a brief consultancy stint for small and medium-sized waste management companies, he took a senior management positions with Thyssen Dück Rohstoffhandel GmbH, where he remained until his recruitment as COO of UEG.
Hans-Günter Lümmen
Chairman of the Board
Hans-Günter Lümmen, MBA, worked initially in the Controlling & Finance department of senior group management, then moved on to serve as managing director and member of the board in a variety of international subsidiaries and equity investment companies of a DAX-listed group. At the same time, he served on supervisory, executive and advisory boards of major foreign member companies of that same group. In addition, Hans-Günter Lümmen was active as member of supervisory board of various listed companies.
At present, Mr Lümmen is chairman of the supervisory board of a German corporation and managing partner of a company active in the areas of private equity, corporate finance, and corporate development. As chairman of the supervisory board of United Energy Group, Mr Lümmen will closely monitor all business activities, and commit his wealth of experience in the best interest of the company and its shareholders.
