KMS delivers download speeds of 1 Gbit/s

Berlin, 31 January 2017. KMS (Kabelfernsehen München ServiCenter GmbH & Co. KG), Munich based subsidiary of Tele Columbus Group, the third largest German cable operator, offers download speeds of up to 1 Gbit/s inMarkt Indersdorf, a town with 10,000 inhabitants in the federal state of Bavaria. This is the first time that a complete regional network is operated with a 1 Gigabit/s offering for consumers in Germany.

The newly built, 108 kilometer superfast broadband network reaches 3,500 homes and adjacent business areas. It was launched in June 2016 after two years of planning and construction. Munich based Kabelfernsehen München ServiCenter GmbH & Co. KG (KMS) is in charge of operations and marketing of the network which is owned by the municipality of Markt Indersdorf.
